The Department of Animal and Poultry Sciences offers courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

 Undergraduate Program

The mission of the Department of Animal and Poultry Sciences is to provide comprehensive teaching, research and extension programs to serve our students and seven major livestock and poultry industries; beef cattle, broilers, eggs, horses, swine, sheep and turkeys. The departmental programs strive to increase the performance, efficiency, and sustainability of animal food and fiber production, while at the same time, enhancing animal well-being, food safety, and environmental quality. 
Both the staff and faculty located in the advising office are available to assist and answer questions regarding the department. The advising office is located in room 3400 of Litton Reaves. Office hours are 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-5:00, Monday through Friday.
