|
The Academic Quadrathlon is a competition open to all students with interest and expertise in Animal and Poultry Science (APSC) and/or Dairy Science (DASC). It is a fun way to use your knowledge, learn something new, and even review for your classes. It is comprised of four parts:
This year the VT Academic Quadrathlon will be held November 8 - 9, 2008. November 8th activities include the written exam, oral presentations, and quizbowl. Dinner with be provided to participants. November 9th activities include the lab practical which involves traveling to the different animal units to complete hands on exercises. Lunch will be provided. The team winning the senior division at VT will travel to Atlanta, Georgia in February 2009 to compete at the regional competition. This is a great opportunity to meet students and faculty from across the southeast and potentially land a graduate assistantship in one of many programs. SIGN UP FOR THIS YEAR'S QUADRATHLON! There are 2 ways: either email claire09@vt.edu with your team name, list of 4 team members, and select either open division or Freshman division OR there is a sign up sheet across from 3060 in Litton Reaves. This is a great opportunity to review right before finals! |
