Major, Minors: Double major: Animal and Poultry Sciences and Agricultural and Applied Economics

Background: I grew up on our family farm in West Virginia producing Black Angus cattle, both registered breeding heifers and beef calves. In high school I was very active in 4-H and FFA and remain a member of both.

Activities: 4-H, FFA, Pre-Vet Club of Virginia Tech, Animal Care Technician for the veterinary medicine experiment station, APSC Ambassador.

Interests: Raising livestock, hunting, fishing, travel, showing cattle, promoting agriculture, spending time with family and friends.

Future Plans: I plan to own and operate my own cattle ranch and to raise show calves. I also want to work in beef production and reproductive physiology with a possible emphasis in veterinary medicine.
