Major, Minors: Animal and Poultry Sciences

Background: I grew up on a farm where my family raises and trains sport horses for fox-hunting and a small commercial sheep flock. I was very involved with the local 4-H program, where I showed my own horse, market lamb, and commercial flock projects while competing on the Livestock Judging, Hippology, Horsebowl, and Horse Judging teams.

Activities: -Animal and Poultry Sciences Ambassador -Virginia Tech Block and Bridle Club -Virginia Tech Equestrian Club and Team -Introduction to APSC Teaching Assistant -Lee Hall Residential Advisor- 2006-2007 -Residential Leadership Community, Virginia Tech-2005-2006

Interests: Fully utilizing the many amazing opportunity Virginia Tech and the agricultural community have to offer!

Future Plans: After receiving my Bachelors Degree in 2009, I would like to attend graduate school at Virginia Tech in order to obtain a PhD. in Equine Reproductive Physiology. I would love to work on a large farm where I could lead my own research team in developing safer, more reliable, and more efficient embryo transfer technology.
