Dr Leeth’s lab conducts research in the field of immunology. Her group works to understand the adaptive immune response in both health and disease. Using mouse models, they work on human diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and type 1 diabetes. They also work to understand the unique immune response of the horse to pathogens. Finally they are working to further develop large animal models for use in human medicine.
